Why not? 

This is a great place to talk about our days and more. 

This is also a great way to work on requesting. 

I want cheese.

To make it more interesting, you can set up situation where they must ask for items that are missing like forks, or cups. 

Or it is a great time to comment on what is being said at the table.

Remember anyone can use the talker to tell their story or to comment. The more we model the better a communicator our kids will become!

Join WOW! for Sensory Friendly Playtime, a low sensory event for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders. WOW! will limit admission to 20 families, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment to offer a safe and fun experience for all! Reservations are required and space is limited. Hi all, 

This month we are teaching kids to use their talkers and to communicate information about their families. I need just a few things from everyone.  Could you email me a few pictures of your immediate family and if there is any extended family your child interacts with on a regular basis. 

Please send me names of everyone and any information so that we can help make connections. For instance Uncle Tim is the one that spins me or Aunt Pam always buys me pink clothes or Dad is a plumber or mom is a doctor. Dad cooks pancakes. Grandma Maria is mom's mom.
