Parents: SWAAAC Explore Day TOMORROW!

  • Do you have students who could benefit from Assistive Technology and would like hands-on opportunities to learn and explore equipment, devices, and resources?
  • Looking for ideas to get your students engaged?
  • Didn't get a chance to fully explore that cool new device you previously checked out?
Start here! Come for an hour or come for the whole day to this hands-on event! We'll be pulling items from the shelves, mounting switches, and connecting cables so that you can explore, experience, and learn how it all works.

Come for one-on-one device demonstrations, compare devices and systems, hear from other professionals, discover, explore, and play with a wide variety of AT!

This event is free and open to the public! Please feel free to invite families, caregivers, administrators, and anyone else you think would benefit from this information.

Parents: CONFERENCES

Dear Parents,
Hi all, Parent teacher conferences are coming up very soon!  You will be seeing sign up sheets for conferences from your child's regular education teacher. You need to sign up with your child's teacher for a conference.  You will not sign up with me. This is your opportunity to know how your child is doing in class.  For some of you that have IEP's scheduled in September or October, you can choose to not have a conference, that is okay and is your choice.    I will attend as many conferences that I can and I will hope that they do not overlap. Otherwise, you are welcome to drop into my room on the night of conferences and we can chat individually.

Don't forget about the Carnival on Friday!

See you all soon,
Ms Tisher

Update on paras!

Dear Parents, After a crazy month of being short paras in SSN, things are looking up. Tomorrow, Ms. Kalani will be starting with us as Ms. Maria's replacement. Ms. Nicole started with us on Friday as Mr. Isaac's replacement. They are both going to be great. This position is new to both of them so it will take a bit of time to get them trained but I feel that they both have the heart for the job so I know it won't be long before things are running smoothly. In more news, Ms. Kasey had her sweet baby girl a week ago Friday! She will out until the end of October. Right now we have Ms. Sue covering for her and may be adding Ms. Mackenzie on Fridays. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks Ms. Tisher
